Abi makes paintings that narrate her own lived experience as a queer/lesbian artist; they are a synthesis of her day-to-day life. Her most recent work concerns itself with the idea of endings and what comes after.
Headless figures, floating heads and disembodied limbs exist alongside everyday objects in an ambiguous world. This liminal space between the real and the imagined and the past and the present is where her work often lies.
